N Street Village Gala Celebrates "35 Years of Hope for Homeless Women"
 N Street Village, the award-winning social services agency that provides a wide range of services to homeless and low-income women in the Washington area, celebrated “35 Years of Hope for Homeless Women” at its annual Gala on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington. Angie Fox, President and CEO of the Crystal City Business Improvement District, served as Chair of the event.
The Gala evening, which included a cocktail reception followed by dinner and an awards program, officially kicked off the celebration of N Street Village’s 35th anniversary year. Since 1973, N Street Village has empowered chronically homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life by offering a broad spectrum of services and advocacy in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. The Village also provides affordable housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Founded on the principles of hospitality, N Street Village annually serves close to 800 homeless and low-income women. The organization was honored with the Washington Post’s 2006 Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management, as well as the 2007 EXCEL Award for Excellence in Non-Profit Leadership.
