Every day, women who are homeless in Washington, D.C. – often struggling with a mix of mental illness, addiction, violence and abuse, health problems, and unemployment – find themselves at the doors of N Street Village.
And every day for the past 40 years, the doors of N Street Village have been open to them – providing much needed hope and hospitality to our city’s most vulnerable women.
Far more than a women’s shelter, N Street Village is indeed a community of empowerment and recovery.
Over the last 40 years, N Street Village has grown to become the largest provider specializing in supportive services and housing for homeless and low-income women in D.C. – and the only provider of women’s wrap around and emergency services open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
