FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 30, 2026
WASHINGTON, DC — N Street Village (NSV) has launched the search for its next Chief Executive Officer. The organization seeks an accomplished nonprofit leader to guide its housing and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness and poverty in Washington, DC.
Founded more than 50 years ago, N Street Village is the District’s largest provider of housing and supportive services specifically for women experiencing homelessness. Across six locations in three wards, NSV offers drop-in day services, emergency and transitional shelter, permanent supportive housing, and wraparound care.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead a complex, multi-site organization, strengthen financial sustainability, and deepen relationships with government, philanthropic, and community partners. The incoming leader will build on NSV’s investments in behavioral health, housing and supportive care for older women, and economic empowerment.
“Our next CEO will join a community grounded in dignity, respect, and the belief that every woman deserves a safe place to call home,” said Arielle Elliott, Chair of N Street Village’s Board of Directors. “We are looking for a strategic leader who will partner with our clients, staff, and Board, strengthen the resources that sustain our work, and help more women achieve lasting stability.”
The search is being supported by Good Insight, a Washington, DC-based executive search firm exclusively focused on the nonprofit sector. The Board seeks candidates with substantial nonprofit executive experience, strong financial and operational leadership, a record of fundraising success, and an understanding of trauma-informed, person-centered care. Leadership in homeless services, housing, behavioral health, or related human services is strongly preferred, particularly in Washington, DC.
Interested candidates should review the executive profile at good-insight.org/careers and submit a PDF resume and cover letter. For best consideration, apply by late November 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
