N Street Village to Host Annual Fundraiser in Support of Women Experiencing Homelessness

More than 700 leaders and community members to gather in Washington, D.C., to advance housing, healing, and hope

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, D.C. — N Street Village, the largest provider of housing and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C., will host Gathering for Good, its annual fundraiser, on March 5, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis (901 Massachusetts Ave NW).

More than 700 civic leaders and community members will gather to celebrate the women served by N Street Village and the power of community to drive positive change, while honoring the volunteers, partners, and donors who support the organization’s mission. “For more than 50 years, the Village has partnered with women experiencing homelessness, and we are deeply grateful for the community members whose collective commitment transforms compassion into action and strengthens the fabric of our community,” said Portia Robertson Migas, President and CEO of N Street Village.

Arielle Elliott, CEO of NOTUS and Vice Chair of N Street Village’s Board, will receive the Founders’ Award alongside her spouse, Joel Elliott. The Founders’ Award was created in 1998 to honor the friends of N Street Village whose work provides opportunities to our most vulnerable neighbors. The recipients come from all walks of life and are recognized for their contributions to the Village.

The evening will also feature N Street Village’s impact through the powerful stories of three women who have overcome significant adversity and achieved long-term stability with the support of the Village’s housing and wrap-around services. “The women who will be honored at the event exemplify resilience, determination, and strength—and their stories spotlight what’s possible when a community comes together in shared purpose,” said Robertson Migas.

Each year, N Street Village provides housing and supportive services to hundreds of women across multiple locations throughout Washington, D.C. Open 365 days a year, the Village welcomes every woman who enters with care and compassion, offering pathways to long-term stability and independence.

Proceeds from Gathering for Good will directly support N Street Village’s housing and supportive programs, ensuring women continue to have access to housing, healthcare, and employment support.
