Keeping Our Promise Capital Campaign Construction Update

The Multipurpose Room and former Volunteer & In-Kind Office spaces are also getting a facelift.

N Street Village launched the Keeping Our Promise Capital Campaign in 2013 to repair and renovate our current buildings and expand our program offerings. As you may have heard, we hit our $9 million fundraising goal earlier this year!

The Kitchen move, in progress. This space will soon become the new Comcast Technology & Learning Lab.

To-date, we have completed the renovation of Miriam’s House, the Village’s permanent supportive housing program for women with HIV, and added 8 units. We also updated all 51 units of affordable housing in Eden House at our Flagship location.

The former Development Office well on its way to being the new and updated Kitchen.

In June 2017, we broke ground on the final phase of the project, which will expand the Day Center by 30% and relocate the Kitchen to be adjacent to the Servery, create the Comcast Technology & Learning Lab, and establish the Judith Morris Wellness Center, which we will use to expand our holistic wellness offerings.

Stay tuned for additional construction updates in the next issue of the Village View!

Thank you to our amazing Village friends for volunteering to help the Village prepare for renovations!

From sorting donations to organizing closets, we’re grateful for your help during this time of progress!

Due to construction, the Village has very limited storage space for in-kind donations. While we are able to
accept some items (like travel-size toiletries and cleaning supplies), please contact Adam at 202-939-2058 or if you’re interested in donating goods. We appreciate your generosity and patience.
