Luther Place Night Shelter

Up to 31 clients in active case management can be accommodated in the Luther Place Night Shelter (LPNS).  The shelter is designed for women who are able to live in a community without being dangerous or overly disruptive.  The shelter is to be available for a period of 6 to 12 months while the client pursues the goals of her case plan, working weekly with her case manager. 

The shelter uses a point-consequence system to address behavioral concerns in this population where active mental illness and substance abuse are recurrent concerns.  The shelter schedule includes dinner in the evening and routine community meetings, as well supportive, educational and recreational activities.
